What is ‘X-Lase laser peeling?

During the treatment a controlled photochemical stimulation of the skin takes place, thanks to which dead, calloused epidermis cells are removed. It is an extremely effective exfoliating treatment, used in the case of acne, seborrhoeic skins, and even in the treatment of discolouration. The treatment reduces fine wrinkles.

How does it work?

A carbon emulsion is rubbed into the face, which, by absorbing laser light, causes the formation of “microexplosions” and cleansing of pores. Carbon particles distributed on the skin penetrate the tiniest irregularities, cavities and pores, and then absorb the energy of laser radiation causing micro-explosions on the skin.

Synergy of photothermal and photochemical processes during one treatment results in significant cleansing of the skin, reduces dilated pores and activates collagen remodelling. After the treatment – for about two days – the skin may be reddened, slightly swollen and the discolourations may get darker. Afterwards, the epidermis exfoliates discreetly and discolourations gradually disappears. The appearance of the skin after peeling does not interfere with the return to work, and the skin does not require complicated care. Protect the treatment area against UV rays for about 30 days using a high-filter sunscreen (50+).

The effects of laser peeling are visible right after the first treatment, after the regeneration of the epidermis, and then progress for a few weeks. In order to achieve a satisfactory effect, the treatment should be repeated 2-3 times at intervals of 3-4 weeks.

The effects of the procedure are permanent, however, in the case of people with a tendency to discolouration or enlarged sebaceous gland estuaries, it is important to remember about additional procedures.

Indications:

  • contaminated, seborrheic and acneous skin

Contraindications:

  • a period of less than 2 weeks after the of use of botox,
  • exposure to excessive UV radiation 3 weeks before the procedure,
  • retinoid therapy (laser treatment is possible after 6 months from the end of retinoid treatment),
  • steroid therapies,
  • cancer,
  • epilepsy,
  • pregnancy and breastfeeding period
