STRETCH MARKS
Longitudinal “cracks” in the dermis, covered with wavy epidermis. Initially, they have the character of slightly emphasised red-and-blue colored lines, with time they become pale, with a pearly appearance. Their appearance is usually asymptomatic, but can be combined with a delicate feeling of pruritus.
Predispositions to the occurrence of stretch marks:
- pregnant women
- teenagers in adolescence, intensive growth
- obesity
- persons accepting steroids
- being repeatedly on “miraculous” diets
