Adipose tissue

Located mainly in the subcutaneous layer (strengthens and gives elasticity to the skin) and surrounding some internal organs. Fat cells release fat as an energy material for cellular respiration processes, as required by the body. In addition to fat storage, adipose tissue also acts as a thermo-insulating and protective layer for some organs, as well as a gland of internal secretion.

An aesthetic defect for most patients is excess body fat, especially when it decomposes unevenly (e.g. backs, breeches). The problem concerns both women and men, but it is gender that determines its scale. Female hormones cause a higher tendency to accumulate fat – mostly on the hips, abdomen, back and shoulders. Often, despite the use of diet and exercise, it is difficult for us to get the desired figure.
