The dermatological treatment of acne consists in the selection of appropriate pharmacological agents for the patient, including e.g. oral and/or external antibiotic therapy, which are designed to reduce the symptoms of acne, minimise the potential side effects of the problem (scars, discolouration) and, above all, lead to a complete cure of the skin. Throughout the therapy, the patient is under the constant supervision of a dermatologist and regular visits are aimed at monitoring and, if necessary, modifying the treatment.

In order to cope with acne lesions, it is necessary for the patient to cooperate closely with a dermatologist and cosmetologist, as well as have patience.
