What is salicylic acid?
Salicylic acid is a BHA acid, which has an affinity for sebum, thanks to which it easily passes through the lipid layer of the skin penetrating into its depths, showing beneficial effects at the same time.
How does it work?
Salicylic acid has a bactericidal and bacteriostatic effect, which is why it is perfect for combating chronic acne, as well as when dealing with only single inflammatory lesions on the skin.
During the procedure, the patient may feel a slight itching and burning.
Exfoliation treatments with salicylic acid are performed in a series, their number is adjusted to the individual needs of the patient’s skin; on average, they are performed every 10 days.
